Puck Drops on 2025 Tradition NIT 10/16

The 2025 Tradition NIT is the largest 16U/19U Girls Tier I hockey tournament in North America. The annual tournament kicks off Thursday, October 16th and runs through Sunday, October 19th in Blaine, MN at the NSC Super Rink and Fogerty Ice Arena. This year will feature 106 teams traveling in from all over the United States and Canada. The teams are split across nine divisions that will compete in four games each throughout the weekend. The participating teams are some of the highest ranked programs in the US and Canada playing in highly competitive games. The Tradition NIT is one of the premier girl's hockey tournaments in North America attended by NCAA coaches. This year we have at least 55 colleges recruiting at the tournament.

The tournament marks the end of the MN Girl's HS Elite League season that has been going on since the beginning of September. The regular season teams from MN, IL, ND, and WI get a chance to play teams across North America that they do not get a chance to play against for the rest of the year. It is also one of the best opportunities for players to showcase their ability in front of college coaches, and is a great way for families and fans of women's hockey to watch a number of elite teams compete.
